I ordered the lobster TSV caught in Maine.  UPS sent me a tracking notice saying it is coming from Tennessee. Say what.

Not strange.   Your lobsters weren't caught and shipped instatly.  Very likely they are warehoused (frozen) in some central location to facilitate quick shipping.  Tennessee sounds OK to me.

The method of shipping matters more than location.  I get a medicine shipped that must be refrigerated.  It is sent UPS overnight delivery or something like that.

Since it is a frozen food product, it can travel a lot.  Would be fun track our products as they move around, I assume some firm already is all over this.  As if!

Greenhead Lobster in Stonington, Maine sells the same products at HSN under the "Stonington" brand name.

HSN has a major distribution center in Piney Flats, Tennessee.

It makes sense that Greenhead/Stonington would now send product en masse to one facility to be labeled and shipped.  QVC Group has announced that many aspects of the business will be combined and consolidated.

MY good friend has had her refrigerated insulin delivered by UPS for years without any problems too !

@Still Raining.  Ordering something from China and reading the tracking is like a geography lesson.
