Stores requiring minimum purchases to use Credit Cards

Have you encountered stores that require a minimum purchase, usually $5 or $10, to pay with your credit card? It happened to me and while at the time I had the cash with me to pay, I sometimes just take a cc and my keys.

Visa and Mastercard do not allow stores that accept their cards to require a minimum purchase.
