[ Edited ]

I have never bought a rag mag in my life. Nor do I look at them at the store. My aunt used to buy them faithfully every week. Then she'd tell us who was doing what to whom. I used to get up from the table and go into the basement. Celebrity stuff does nothing for me. It never has and I don't understand why people get all caught up in everything they do.

Re: Store Check out Magazines

I do not buy them anymore, only read real quick if the checkout line is really slow.  I grew up in the era of rag magazines and my Mother read them all the time... so I got into the habit of reading as well into adulthood.  Years ago I did subscribe to enquire and the Star.. but, now with the internet there is no need to spend money on such trash... it is only click away!

Re: Store Check out Magazines

I must be on some HIT list.  I get all kinds of magazines.  Must be some TEST CASE.  I donate them to a local medical facility.  I really don't read them.  All ads, no real sustance anymore.  I don't know how they stay in business.

Re: Store Check out Magazines

I used to buy People Magazine, but stopped when Kate Gosselin was on the cover every month.

Now I'm interested in HGTV magazine, Food Network magazine, and a few other decorating magazines.

I can read about celebrities on the internet.  I was more interested in the fashions more than the gossip.  LOL

Re: Store Check out Magazines

I buy Vogue Fall and Spring edition ....the really thick ones with previews of fashion. I receive free Elle, Bazaar and Town and Country ....why I have no idea; maybe because Sephora sends them as a gift with purchase kind of thing. I still purchase InStyle and Victoria on occasion if something interests me.

I stopped my subscription to Allure since Linda Wells isn't the editor any more. I predict that one won't be around much longer.

Re: Store Check out Magazines

I don't read rag mags.

We get PEOPLE delivered to the office and I look at the pics if there's a fashion thing in it.

If i need to know anything about the content a co-worker reads it cover to cover and she'll tell me all about it.

Re: Store Check out Magazines

I get Star and People through Zinio, got a great deal on both

I get People Style Watch in print, tablet version is free with it. It has affordable fashion mixed in with high end and it's just visually appealing.

I can't believe they charge $5.99 now for Star Magazine at the checkout, People is probably the same. I am paying about a dollar per issue on Zinio. That's all they're worth too lol. It's a mindless stress reliever for me. I also once won 250 dollars with the Star mail in crossword puzzle.

Re: Store Check out Magazines

I love to look through Fashion mags but the only one I subscribe to is InStyle and I'm thinking of not renewing it next year.  But I'll probably cave and keep getting it.

I look at Vogue and Town and Country when I get my hair done.
