seems to be all over the map. first one was a paper check in the mail. second one was a debit card....and I almost tossed it as I thought it was junk mail. it did have a statement saying it wasn't an ad, and it was from the gov, but with all the recent (endless) political mailings, it would be easy to toss.

as I don't want to go to the bank, nor touch the ATM buttons to deposit a check, I actually preferred the debit card. seems like it would cost more: make it and then set up process to activate.

not gettng a 'letter' from the former president was a bonus (that came with paper check).

Does your bank allow you to deposit a check by taking a photo of the check?   If you are concerned about touching the ATM that's another option.

@SharkE  Today we got it.  The $600.00.  About 2weeks  and several days after they mailed it out.  It came in as a check this time.   Hang in there.  If you are supposed to get it,(and  and you can tell throught the IRS porthole) you will get it.

@songbird  Isn't it $1200  total for a married couple who qualify based on income? $600 each

Yeah.  sorry.  it's $600 each. or $1,200

hope mine isn't a debit card. Probably a hassle to deal with.

lastest is that a 3rd check will be coming, IF congress OK's it.  It will be for $1,400.00.

Congress plans to take steps this week toward quickly passing President Joe Biden's coronavirus aid proposals, including a third wave of direct relief payments for most Americans. The next batch of stimulus checks would be for $1,400 â€” to top off the $600 payments that started going out in late December.

I'm not holding breathe for 3rd one. Best place for information on the latest news is on you tube with a Asian guy named Brian. He's in the know and cuts to the chase. I've been listening to him since last yr when all the talk and bull**** about this 2nd one began.

Let's not get political or this will go up in smoke. Soon, as I get mine I'm up the road.

@SharkE  I'm sure you will get it.  I just wasn't sure I was going to get it in the first place.  I saw the envelope but I thought it had to do with taxes.  My husband told me. And it was a check $1,200.00. $600 for two people.  People in Europe are getting $3,500.00 checks per person.   I think the same thing in the UK.

Re: Stimulus Check

[ Edited ]

I'm not a hog and don't think gov. should support us indefinately.

People won't work. My husband worked for 50 yrs to get us to a good place.

I just think we both should get what's been talked about and I see other people who have made more then he did squawking about " I got mine 2 weeks after Jan 6th". Well, la de da I'd like to say. LOL

Lots of folks in my church said they're waiting too. I got my suspicions on what may had been the hold up, but, they're staying my suspicions. LOL

I think so too.  Roughly 45% did not get their checks till after almost 2 weeks.  I just got mine today.  The first time around I got mine almost a week later in the debit card form.  This time it was a check.
