I love Stevie but to make a Barbie doll representation .... why?     It almost seems like an insult.

To who? Barbie or Stevie?

If you mean Stevie, if she had seen it as an insult, she wouldn't have allowed it. Not only did she allow it, but she helped tweak it a few times.

Barbie wasn't insulted, so I am not sure who was?

@jackiejenny

IMO, I thought it was an insult to Stevie, actually.

The whole Barbie thing was a major rip off from the beginning.  Parents didn't just have to buy a doll and doll clothes, they had to buy SEVERAL dolls ...  because I guess each doll was a "one trick pony"?

Having said that, obviously,  Stevie was a Barbie fan.

I guess I don't see the Barbie thing as a major rip off. Parents "could" choose to buy several dolls and the brand Barbie clothes, but then parents could choose to do what my Mom did.

I got ONE Barbie and she had all of the clothes made by a fabulous seamstress in our town. My favorite outfit was an ice skating outfit made from velvet,complete with the fur muff AND the ice skates!

How she made those teeny tiny clothes is beyond me, but it was my favorite Christmas and I still have that Barbie and all of her fabulous wardrobe to this day.

@Tinkrbl44  I do realize that having multiple Barbies was a thing years later, but that just wasn't my personal experience. I credit Barbie for my lifelong love of fashion! Woman Happy

I see the Stevie Barbie as a collectible.

I see it as honoring a woman who was a successful music artist with her own sound & style during an era when there weren't very many.

I don't think it's aimed at children, but rather at women who remember and enjoy(ed) Stevie Nicks' talent and may or may not have had a Barbie.

Retro, nostalgic, good memories.

Nothing to banter about.
