Fascinating to see him and listen to how he comes up with such plots in his stories....I remember when he was in a horrible car accident years ago and almost died. He looks really good coming back from that.

I hope they make that into movie..

The PBS genealogy show premiered its new season last night, featuring Stephen King, Courtney Vance and an actress whose name I don't remember. All three had never really known their father and had no knowledge of their history on that side of the family.

King looked great and was very happy. Nice to see that after what he went through.

Most PBS shows are available online, if anyone is interested.

A Good Marriage stars Joan Allen, Anthony LaPaglia, Stephen Lang, and House of Cards actress Kristen Connolly and was adapted for the big screen by King himself....

A Good Marriage is about 100 pages long, about as long as Shawshank, or The Body, which became Stand By Me. And I liked it because it was from the woman’s point of view. I think that’s why Joan Allen got involved. She saw it as a feminist story, with a woman who wasn’t going to just become a scream machine.”

Based on a short story called Gramma, it's not the first time this story has been adapted. Originally, the tale of two boys who discover their grandmother is a witch, was turned into an episode of The New Twilight Zone in 1986. Now it's being turned into a big screen horror with Frances O'Connor (A.I.), Mark Duplass (Safety Not Guaranteed), Dylan McDermott (American Horror Story) taking on grown up duties while Joel Courtney (Super 8) and Chandler Riggs (The Walking Dead) playing the kids.

One of the most highly anticipated on the list, this adaptation of a full-length King bestseller is promising for a number of reasons. Firstly, the cast boasts John Cusack and Samuel L Jackson, who previously starred in 1408, one of the finer King movies of recent years. Secondly, it has some decent horror credentials with director Tod Williams (Paranormal Activity 2) and screenwriter Adam Alleca (The Last House On The Left) on board. And finally, you can't go wrong with the source material, which tells of a terrifying infection that turns a phone signal into chaos.

<h2>The Ten O'Clock People</h2>

Although he might have been out of the spotlight for a while, writer-director Tom Holland has an impressive background in the horror genre. Involved in Fright Night, Child's Play and previous King adaptations The Langoliers and Thinner, he knows his stuff. So he's a wise choice to take on this short story which follows a group of smokers who uncover a terrifying secret about the nature of society. The cast features This is The End's Jay Baruchel and GI Joe's Rachel Nichols.

I loved the story the Ten O'Clock People. Just really a good read - and I hope it will translate well into the screen.

Mr Mercedes and Gerald's Game are also commissioned for movies. I am curious about Gerald's Game. I would think that would be ton of flashbacks, because 2 hours with a woman chained to her bed with her dead husband on the floor isn't that compelling to me!
