i just do not like some of his humor. He acts like he is a relationship expert... .. As well as an expert in everything else. He is kind of like a Dr. Phil with big choppers.

I do like watching Steve's show. However, I agree, he is not a relationship expert and should avoid giving advice in this realm. Rather, he could/should refer people with problems to a counselor, psychologist, or psychiatrist.

Love his show. He has tons of common sense re: raising teens, advising young women re: their relationship problems, etc. Enjoyed today's show re: the young woman who was trying to find a decent boyfriend. Worth watching her and the date Steve chose for her, their actual date, etc. I do believe that many young women would benefit by watching his show.

I love his humor and respect his views. He's become quite humble and quite honest about his own past relationship transgressions.

If you tune into to ""talk"" shows for serious advice you've already got serious problems. Like people who tune into Dr Phil for mental health help or The Dr's for medical advice without the bill.

That's why they are ""talk"" shows and not ""professional consultation"" shows.

As for Steve Harvey, I really enjoy his show and humor. I also think he gives some good, common sense advice. I don't think he portrays himself as anything more than he is. I would like him as a friend...he would be so much fun.

I don't think he intends to be a professional doctor. His shows are entertaining, and on the humorous side. Never medically/professionally serious, as far as what I've seen. Dr. Phil's show seem very different (serious, and maybe sometimes profound) (compared with SH shows) to me, anyway.
