Steiff and Hermann German Teddy Bear Collectors

I did not see any collectable catagory, so forgive me if I have put this in the wrong place.Smiley Happy

I have always wanted a collectable Teddy Bear, so today I purchased 2 bears on Ebay. Both are Steiff small sized, I think they are both 6" and I have a bid for a Hermann 15". These are all Mohair and jointed. I believe these are all German made. I read some place about these german bears being made in CHINA...ugh. I do not want to get the new ones. These little 6" bears are quite cute and take up little space. But need some display cases.

So I am a beginner.Smiley Happy I only want to have 5 total in my collection. I don't want to go overboard and have all these bears in my condo....just a few small ones and maybe 1 or 2 full sized. I'd like to learn more, what to look for in a vintage piece.

Anyone on here also collect any?? Smiley Happy LOL, I'm 50 somethin' and buying toys...but I really did want a few special Bears.Smiley Happy
