Wow. I loved hating him on Days for many, many years. I stopped watching the show years ago but I always enjoyed his acting. I always thought he must have had a lot of fun acting so evil!

He will be missed.

The actor, or the character?

The character of "Stefano Dimera" on "Days of Our Lives" died of colon cancer.

The actor, Joseph Mascolo, died Wednesday. He had Alzheimer's disease. I loved watching him on Days.

I always liked how evil "Stafano" was.

I also loved the sound of his deep baritone voice.

I was shocked to hear this earlier today. I've watched Days all my life.

I think they film about 6 months in advance, but he was still looking good when he was last on air earlier this year, and I had no idea he was as old as he was. I didn't know about the Alzheimer's either. 

I loved his character, and so sorry the show will now be without him.
