Do you ladies who use steam mops use them on wood floors?  I'd really like to buy one but keep hearing you shouldn't use them on wood floors.

@itsmetoo I've used my steam mops on both tile and hardwood floors and had no issues.  They do a great job when they work.

@itsmetoo   It would be best to research the mop you want and go to the website. 

 

Some can be used on all types of floors and some are not recommended.

 

It all depends upon the type of hardwood floor you have because it is a matter of the floor being sealed.

I have the hoover steam mop, but what concerns me is this ,does the steam  really kill the germs,the temperature of the water would have to be high.
