She must be admiring your beauty, your impeccable manicure, your pearly white teeth, your shiny hair, your glistening skin, your gorgeous wardrobe, your elegant mannerisms. Take it as a compliment. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I wish I could lol. I'd like to think it's admiration but it's just very strange so I'm confused. She also stares at me in general.

Maybe she'll ask you out.

{#emotions_dlg.laugh} I hope not.

I believe in maintaining eye contact while speaking, but this is an entirely different form of eye contact. As in she continues to glare and stare into my eyes after the converstation is over.

Didn't read all of the replies so sorry if Im repeating anything. It only happens to me when I have spinach in my teeth or a bear in the cave.

Maybe she's hard of hearing?

The only staring incident I can recall is once I got on an elevator and there was only one other person in there. A HUGE man. He was staring at me intently. I was about 18 and he scared me to death. I didn't know what do do so I held up the sack in my hand and said ""hamburgers""

Scottie..........Forgive me but your story cracked me up (: I'm sure at the time it was very creepy though!

Oh no need to forgive you. I thought it was hilarous even at the time. After I left the elevator and ran to my destination I realized even then how ridiculous it was! I just didn't know what to say or do! ""hamburgers"" popped into my head and so that was it!

Is that like tossing meat in another direction to distract a mean dog?

Sorry, I don't mean to make light of a scary situation. But that's what popped into my head when I read your post.

{#emotions_dlg.lol} So funny!. As I was running (yes running) down the hall I heard him call out "sure would like to take you out sometime. "

Making eye contact: so as not to transfix the other person, your eyes should move through the triangular area formed by the eyes down to the mouth. Very rude to drill your eyeballs to the other person's. When I did career coaching, I had folks get used to looking at me while introducing themselves. This would help them when face to face with an interviewer.
