I do realize this and that might be it. If so she really needs to check herself because she's not all that

Those kind of people usually aren't...they just like to think they are.
She may think she's more special than others. It doesn't affect my confidence. Just creeps me out lol.

it could be an intimidation technique.

Yes. I understand what you are saying and I don't blame you for backing up.

She must be admiring your beauty, your impeccable manicure, your pearly white teeth, your shiny hair, your glistening skin, your gorgeous wardrobe, your elegant mannerisms. Take it as a compliment.

I worked with some "starers" when I was in FL for a year. It WAS an intimidation technique, and I avoided those people as much as I possibly could.

Yes, I worked with a woman who did that....if we went to lunch she would just stare and barely say a word...if she came to my home...the same thing...if we spoke at work..same again....it was not only annoying...it was creepy.....
I don't know what I hated more...the stare...or her not talking...it was like she expected me to keep the conversation going...all the time...Lord help me when she called on the phone...there would be dead silence on her end....and I would be groping for something to talk about....

Yes...its as though they are visually invading your ""space."" creepy

I worked with a guy who was a close talker (remember Seinfeld?). He'd be in my face, I'd back up, he'd come close again, I'd back up. This would go on and on. Once, I backed up so much I almost fell down a staircase.
