What this tells me is there's a group of people (fairly small, I believe) that look for anything they can use to show there's a "war on Christmas". Sad.

"Fairly small......) Well let's hope so anyway.

One of my own personal discomforts arises from comments that schools are no longer allowed to use Christmas music in winter concerts.

This statements is not correct.

Christmas music must be justified as having educational value just as all selections in educational programs should be.

Songs and compositions from the holidays of other faiths must be educationally valid as well.

All qualified music teachers know this, and develop their winter concerts accordingly.

Whichever radio personalities have cultivated "the war" are either totally ignorant about music education, or dishonest.

Couldn't agree more. Someone called it Charbucks the other day and it's a perfect description. It's not that the coffe is too strong, it's that every time I order plain coffee, it tastes burnt. Some things are good, the coffee...not so much.

That's how I "taste" it - not too strong, but burnt, no matter the roast. I can do the lattes and chais and the fraps, but a cup of their coffee, noooo.

Re: Starbucks' Cup Controversy

I love their coffee.. .it is strong and not some watered down stuff (cough, DD comes to mind)

BTW - their chocolate smoothies (which may or may not be on the menu - but they will make it for you if you ask)  are FANTASTIC.

I love their coffee too!  I like a lot of half and half in my coffee and I have to have a very strong brew to hold up to it.

I like the Chai Tea Lattes too.

Chocolate smoothie eh?  That's sounds like something I would have to try.

She doesn't know you either but if you hang around Charbucks too long she'll call you a squatter. I know. So judgemental.

@SusieQ_2

I'm not familiar with Charbucks, is that a place you patronize?

As far as Ellen goes, she has her opinion on matters, just like I have mine. Woman Happy
