And I am elated, we endured some bitter cold temps and many inches of snow to reach this point. I can't wait to see a tulip!

Southern WV here, where it is 44 and sunny. So happy we are near the end of March, but snow and cold will likely stay with us thru April. We see our heaviest, wet snows in April.
Per the almanac prediction, WV did experience a milder winter than usual. We had a heavy start early on, with some snow, and bitter cold temperatures. We have not seen our usual snowfall, which delights me, but is also very surprising. WV winters are usually dark, long, cold, with moderate to heavy snowfall. This winter has totally defied the normal, but I’m not complaining!
I have been so thankful for the blessing of a mild winter, due to the challenges of the infection in my husbands foot that required numerous trips to ER and hospitalizations. The amputation on his foot was done away from our home base, requiring us to travel far more than normal. All of our trips have been with decent weather; pouring rain has been the worst we’ve had to deal with on a travel day. I have no complaints at all because my family has been too blessed to complain.
I have been surprised at much of the odd weather across the US these last months, and what other posters have had to deal with.

I live in Florida. I don’t really celebrate over the arrival of spring. It means very hot, humid weather is heading our way. But fall is something to celebrate!

It will be just over 50 today and in 60s later in the week. The lake ice is thin, but I see open water around our shore, but overall, I am still looking out to a white lake. Birds singing. I will miss winter, but spring is definitely here. I spent an hour or so on one of our screened porches today!
March here in the north is different from what I knew as a child in the St. Louis ‘burbs. I imagine you have green things sprouting! No sign of that where I live.

Thrilled to have survived the long, wicked winter. Delighting in sunshine, warmer weather and anxious for dry days ahead with a lot of lucious green grass and many gorgeous plants! Mother Nature was nasty the past several months. We need calm and peaceful weather in our lives to regroup.

Hallelujah!!! I am NOT a winter person whatsoever. It's been a tough winter but we've had far worse. Still.....I'm ready for Spring! We're supposed to have a high of 50 with light showers. I'm not going to let the rain dampen (no pun intended) my spirits as it could be worse.....it could be snow.

@vermint wrote:Temperatures are nice here in SC...supposed to be 62 today--80 by Sunday. But oh! The POLLEN! It's horrible, and I'm staying inside as much as possible.
@vermint.....Yes, it is POLLEN season too. But, there are many different over the counter meds that can help you to cope with it. Just need to take something close to the time you will be going out.

@cotton4me wrote:Spring is my favorite season so I’m very happy to see its arrival. I love seeing everything come back to life and out of hibernation – flowers, trees and animals. Such a wonderful time of year.
@cotton4me.....So agree with you. Spring for new growth, and Fall for things getting ready for winter. My two favorite seasons of the year.
