I'm okay with seeing them out in the yard, but I use insecticides to control them along the perimeter of the house....keeps them from moving in.I was bit outside on my patio...was wearing a pair of thongs...never felt the bite. I did notice one tiny drop of blood...had no idea why. Wiped it off and went about my day, then noticed a big blister where I was bitten...should have been my first clue...but I thought it was a blister bug that bit me.
What is a blister bug??

Croemer, I see so many of them outside, all the time. I always wear long pants and long sleeved shirts when I'm out in the yard, even though I might get too warm...I try to do my outside chores earlier in the day, because of how I cover up. But I still find bites...usually around my ankles, wrists, or my beltline. I can only make an educated guess that these are spider bites, since we don't have mosquitoes here.

I'm not sure what a blister bug is either. Oh no...not another biting thing we need to worry about!

They are mean little suckers and smell awful. I guess they put out a scent so you won't mess with them. Some of the bite pics were far worse...even I didn't know they could get so bad. They like gardens, high grass etc. Can be found in these states:

Want to add they come in different colors and shapes...I assume depending on the area they can be found.
