No, this isn't a rant about spelling here on these boards. But, I'm wondering about the ability of the general public to spell even simple words.
In my work, I see notes written to explain problems and I often see basic words misspelled. Sometimes, it could be a typo, sometimes, no way. Today was the kicker, the word do was spelled dew. The sentence was something like "it would dew this when that happened". Doesn't seem likely it's a typo and surely this is an easy one, not like to, two, too.
BTW, the people who write the notes have no idea I'm seeing them, so it's not like they're being cute.
