@Hooty, count yourself lucky, I live in NYC and am dissatisfied with Spectrum. I much prefered Time Warner Cable. They were willing to work with you on the increase of your bill, Spectrum doesn't care, they won't budge an inch. I must reboot my DVR box once a week so my programs will record. Also they give me a hard time scheduling an appointment if not for the hassle of sending back the equipment and having another company install my services, I would have left Spectrum a couple of years ago.

I am almost across the country from you and have them for all 3 of my services, too. It's been great. We've been with Charter for decades.

I kind of wish that Charter (the name before they changed it to Spectrum after they bought out those other companies) had not purchased those smaller cable companies because I worry about things changing. But it's been a while now and nothing has changed yet, here.

I haven't noticed any difference since the switch to Spectrum to be honest. I hold my breath opening the email with my bill but so far it hasn't gone up. And my service hasn't been a problem at all.

I think for the price of our cable bill it's outrageous we have to rent the cable box for all our televisions because Spectrum went digital. We were renting two boxes originally, one in the livingroom and the other for our bedroom, the other tv's were just getting the basic cable but at least we could get programming in the other rooms.

I was somewhat annoyed when Time Warner did this but I believe they were actually really slow when it came to moving to this. I know people in other states with different cable companies and they did it years ago.

My local Eyewitness News ( NYC) had a story tonight about scams being run in Spectrum's name. People are calling and claiming they are from Spectrum, they are interested in getting the account number you use to pay your cable bill ( they said Caller ID can come up Spectrum). If you get a call, hang up, do not give out any information ( they also said ask them to tell you your account number for your cable if they are from Spectrum they will know it). They said to report the scam if you get the call.

@Jordan2 You are absolutely correct. I happen to catch that story last night too while heading to another channel. It's a shame that people must continue to be told not to give their info to anyone over the phone. But hey, thank goodness they are being warned.
