Rock Hudson or Karen Carpenter. I hate when a disease takes someone I admired.

Couldn't think of anyone at first - and of all the ones presented, Tiger Woods definitely. His implosion was the one that shocked me the most.

I believed Lance Armstrong and was very disappointed in him when he admitted to steroid use....

I was disappointed in that also but I was more disappointed with the way he treated people who decided to talk. He ruined a lot of peoples lives with how vindictive he was. He completely denied it and made them look like liars all the while knowing he was the one who lied. The steroid thing I could get over but not how treated people who he was once very close to.

Yes, you are right. I was up all night so I am not expressing myself well. I totally agree with you and that was why I was so disappointed in him. He behaved badly....

I agree. He hid his true self for a long time, making others suffer while he maintained that persona, and now I can't even stand to see his face on the news. What a creep!

I was very disappointed at the awfully ugly and distasteful tweets that Patricia Heaton made about Sandra Fluke. The same for Michael Richards's rant.

OMG, I didn't know about that (bolded by me). Is this stuff out there for people who don't do twitter?

The Michael Richards thing was definitely a disappointment. It's hard not to see that part of him when I look at him.

Re: Speaking Of Public Relations

I was really disgusted when all the truth came out about John Edwards (the politician).

Politics aside, I really thought he seemed like a nice family guy....Elizabeth seemed sweet, and the story of their losing a son, and then going on to have two more children (she being a little older at that time, too) just seemed to be a heartwarming kind of thing.

When all the stories began circulating about his infidelities, and more and more of his lying became obvious, it was just sad to hear.

Now, my husband never liked him, said he was "a snake oil salesman", but early on I didn't have that impression.

Really, you just never can tell what a person is like inside.

Re: Speaking Of Public Relations

I can't say I have been let down but it saddened me to hear about all the tragedies involving The Little Rascal's (I think that's what they were called) So many of them died young, were involved in drugs and murder....even the dog with the ring around his eye...was it Spot? I don't remember........ but even the dog was poisoned {#emotions_dlg.sad}.
