Legendary handbag designer Judith Leiber 97 died Saturday in Springs, NY..

just hours after her husband, abstract painter Gerson Leiber 96 passed away.

Jeffrey Sussman, their biographer and spokesman, told the New York Times.

They were buried together on Monday.

Sussman described the couple "as a 90 something Romeo & Juliet.

Neither wanted to live without the other," in Newsday, and told a story

about their final hours that illustrated their devotion to each other.

@2blonde

Just before their deaths, Gerson leaned towards his wife and said..

"Sweeti, it's time for us to go."  Powerful as you said.

If I could write the perfect ending of my life, it would be to go with my sweetie too. Another testament to a blessed life and true love.
