Anyone who says Tom Cruise can't act didn't see Born on the Fourth of July, Rain Man, or Interview With a Vampire. Love him or hate him, he CAN act and is very good at it. He really does like his women tall, doesn't he? Mimi, Nichole, Katy, Laura, they are all way above his head. I would have thought that Laura had more sense than to marry him.

I do think Tom is cuckoo for cocoa puffs but I think he is a good actor and I agree he was wonderful in Born of the 4th of July and the other movies mentioned.

It seems like Laura has been a hard core Scientologist for a while. I think it is best for everyone involved that he date/marry someone who feels the same way he does about that religion. I actually think Katie really loved him but that cult came between them when she finally wised up and realized what would soon be happening to her daughter.
