This morning my DH and I were headed to the doctor. Stopped at local pharmacy first, where I put my wallet in the cart. As we were leaving a friend came into the store, we chatted. Then we took the cart to the car, my husband unloaded it and left the wallet in the cart. He took the cart back into the store.
Halfway to the doctor I realized I did not have the wallet, we turned around, back to the store, no wallet and not turned in by anyone. The manager showed us the security tape, and there clear as can be my friend saw the wallet in the cart, opened it, saw my drivers license and took the wallet home. She called us at home & the Drs. office to report she had the wallet.
What could have turned out to be a huge mess turned out perfectly. For that I thank God. Anyone else have a potential bad mistake turn out good?

Yes! Awhile back I had a frazzled day.
Went to Savers to donate some stuff & then went inside to see if there was anything worth buying. Saw something that my sis might want, so took a pic w/ my cell phone & left.
I was halfway home when, yes, I realized I'd left my cell phone on the shelf where I'd taken the picture. Rushed back....and there it sat. Whew!
As I continued home, I stopped to pump some gas, then made a last stop at the drugstore, but...where was my debit/credit card???
Flew back to the BUSY gas station, & there lay my CC on the ground - right next to the pump I'd used.
Talk about lucky! But I felt like a major ditz.![]()

Last year I rented out a room in my house to a male - who only needed the room for one month - as he was moving back to Chicago. I live in southern Calif. Right before he moved in, my 30 yr old Sanyo TV broke and I ordered a 40" flatscreen TV from Costco.com. A day after he moved in, the TV arrived (in a box) and he told me to go to Amazon.com (never used that site before) and he helped me choose a large wood stand with shelves and glass doors. Then, the wood stand arrived (in a box) and he put the TV and stand together in my family room. Perfect Timing!!!!

@sabatini, wow, you were super lucky twice that day! Must be karma for a good deed! LM

Many years ago, when I was still working, I pulled into the parking lot at work. At that time we left our key with the attendant to move the cars, if needed. It snowed much of the day and sometime late in the day, I noticed an 18K gold bracelet was not on my wrist. After looking around the office area and retracing my comings and goings for the day, I went to the parking lot to see if it had fallen off near the car. You guessed it. The car had been moved for plowing.
Obviously, I was sick - this had been a special gift. I arranged for several staff members to meet me the next day - a Saturday - to dig in the piles of snow, hoping to find it.
At home, after taking off my sweater, I accidentially found the bracelet stuck in the sleeve. The safety clip and fastener had both come open. Each link was pinned on the edge so both edges weren't smooth. It was securely adhering inside the sleeve.
Understandably, I have never again worn that bracelet with anything knitted.

What a wonderful story and outcome! How heart warming,
A few monthS back I was grocery shopping and in the section where they sell the bags of cut up lettuce I saw a wallet. No one was around other than the lady who stocks the vegetable section. So, I gave the wallet to her to take to customer service. All I could think about was how I would feel if I had lost my wallet! I hope the lady who lost it did not worry too long...it is such a terrible feeling to lose something so personal like that. I felt good that she would get it back

When good things happen to me when they could have turned out so badly, I tend to think it is the wheel of karma returning a good deed. @gmkb, you must be living right for the wallet gods to be smiling down on you! ![]()
