I was laid off 3 times in 2 years between 2008 and 2010. I didn’t begrudge nice things for anyone in better financial circumstances than me. I can be empathetic to those who aren’t working right now, but I had an 8 day stretch a few weeks ago where I worked from 8 am til after midnight each of those days. I won’t feel guilty for buying a few treats after I get my bonus check.

QVC is a business to make money.  Do you expect them to just shut down until this is over with because people can't or shouldn't spend money?  Why should the hosts talk about the virus? We hear enough of that every day.  I like alittle escape from what is going on in this crazy world.  Like someone stated on this post not everyone is in the same boat with spending or not spending money.  I have purchased a few things to spruce up my house.  It makes me feel good and I enjoy my home.

@GoneButNotForgotten    Look around your city or any mountain or seashore resort community.  There's a lot of money out there among the unemployed.  If the unemployment rate is 20%, that means 80% of the workforce is still working, plus there's a plethora of retired and people who don't need to work.  Do you think any merchant worth its salt is going to ignore this potential market?

I don't understand this thinking. 

They are a shopping channel; their business is selling.  Are they not supposed to sell while people are out of work?  What else will QVC do?  If they don't sell stuff, even more people will be out of work.
