I know Kate Gosselin and her goslings have interested followers on Viewpoints, so I thought I'd share.
According to a TLC press release, new episodes will begin to air on April 4th, 10p ET. The premiere's description says:

The hour-long premiere episode follows Kate and her eight as they travel 21 hours across the globe to Australia – the longest flight they’ve ever taken. The Gosselins are beyond excited about ringing in 2011 in a city that celebrates the new year first – Sydney, Australia. They visit the beaches and enjoy the warm December air on the other side of the world. Kate takes a boat to the middle of the ocean in hopes of swimming next to sharks – in a cage of course – but will Kate be too scared to get in the freezing, rough water? Then, the family meets Australian aboriginals and learn about their culture – from dancing and camping to digeridoos and boomerangs, there are a lot of new experiences to be had for the Gosselins. But when it comes time to spending the night in tents, will Kate and her kids be able to sleep outside and camp out?

I've also read that New Year's Eve and New Year's Day are court-mandated holidays for Jon Gosselin's custody of his children. When he was asked to give up those holidays so that the trip to Australia could continue as planned, Jon refused, which led Kate to take him to court. The family court judge -- the same one who has handled the divorce/custody/work permit issues for the children, etc -- ruled that since this was a work-related trip for the children, he would allow the deviation from the set custody schedule.
IMHO, the children really have no advocates for their well-being. But I know not everyone sees it in the same way. I personally wish Kate could have found success in the entertainment world on her own, as an independent talent/talk show host, etc. So far, none of her attempts has been successful long-term, which has led to falling back on her children as the main attraction. I personally think this is a very sad development for all the kids, and, as we already know, some of them are acting out enough to be asked to leave school. IMO, their childhoods have been contaminated, and there's no changing that.
I know that many people see Kate's efforts as noble and necessary to care for the children, but I disagree. But, of course, this is just my POV and MHO, only.
