Masks protect against wombat attacks.   And wombat attacks are on the rise, but the government is keeping that fact from us.

I read that on Facebook AND Twitter, so consider yourself warned!!

Some of us have things in our lives that are gloom and doom and some of us feel vulnerable and are afraid.

Some of us haven't lived a life where we feel safe and secure, and some have.  There are huge differences in all of us, and in our experiences, backgrounds, and situations in life.

Lots of us have had things happen that cause PTSD, or simply make us fearful because a lot has happened.

If you are not fearful, don't have issues that make you cautious, be happy about that.  But why try to shame people who are afraid?  Shouldn't we have sympathy for those people?

Sometimes, @Sooner , you post a gem.

And this is one of them

Porcelain:

I'm still 'irked' by folks who walk around, coughing.

Happened again in a nearby nationwide pharmacy.

I'm wondering if some folks 'do it on purpose'.

Btw, I'm just right this minute wondering why pharmacies don't have sanitizing wipes at their door entrances.

Supermarkets, yes.  But, not, 'of all places', pharmacies (around here).

@ROMARY If you need to have wipes carry them with you.  We have to be proactive for ourselves.

I went to an even last night to honor donors to the arts where we had a private performance from a woman who coughed all over the place and laughed about that "dreaded coronavirus."  Yes, clearly people are not taking this very seriously - when it comes to themselves being ill.  Now other people - that's another story.  They should self quarentine.

Isobel and Porcelain..........

Yes, everyone should be more conscientious.

As far as wipes at pharmacy doors...........It would be a 'reminder' for those who don't carry wipes and/or sanitizers.

I do carry them, and wipe down pharmacy shopping carts.

But, others...........no.  At least I don't see them doing it unless they are available at the front door entrances.  And even then, many don't bother to wipe down carts.

Well, all we can do is wish everyone well and safe.

I have a little allergic cough sometimes. I assure you it's not on purpose. I also make a big show of coughing into my elbow so no one around me needs to get concerned. Been doing that since it was first recommended to people a long while back to limit viruses.

I know I'm not sick, but I also know others don't know that. I'd hope that you'd try to have some patience for those of us who do sometimes cough around you. Unless someone is going up to you and hacking in your face, it's not on purpose.

My husband and I were eating out one time at a restaurant, and we were sitting in a booth when I had a coughing spell.

A couple were sitting near us, and the wife became very angry and upset over my coughing, thinking that I must have been ill and contagious, when I wasn't.

I was unfortunately having an Asthma/allergy episode, and was coughing due to that.

The wife was loudly complaining about my coughing where she wanted me to hear her, and how I must have been sick and how I was coughing in public, and so on.

They got up and moved from their booth and sat farther away from us.

I normally don't go out when I'm sick, because I don't want to spread any illness around to others.

The only reason that I'll even go out if I have to when sick, is if I have a doctor's appointment due to the illness and I'm going to be seen in order to get help/treatment for it.

In that case, I'm going right to the doctor's office which is in our local hospital building.

Then I go right back home.  If I need any prescriptions, my husband will get them for me at the pharmacy.

Usually when I'm sick, I just feel too tired, ill, and achy to want to be around anyone else in public. It takes up too much energy for me to try and walk around, anyway.

@Sooner   And I'll say it again-you have absolutely no idea about the personal trials posters go through.

We all have things in our lives that are not the best; posters who have had heartache, fear, abusive childhoods-the list goes on.

It's all in perception.  You can continue to whine on the pity pot and point a finger just because a person isn't all in a twist about this virus.

Or you can be kind and realize not everyone is going to react as you see fit.

Had you actually read through these years about the trials many of us have been through, you would understand that some of us prefer to carry on as best as we can.

This virus is not the end of my world; I have enough going on in RL.  It makes me no better than thou nor less of a person.
