It was truly not as scary as it looks...

They are just curious.

Guess they were trying to smell each other and try and figure out what they are.

Our collie always wanted to go up to the deer when we would take him for walks in the park. And the deer would want to check him out too.

If Willow is usually present these days when the carrots are distributed, maybe the deer assume she's the boss, instructing you Wicks to hand out the carrots. It would make sense, then, that the deer might want to show her some respect and appreciation for arranging their treats.

This picture makes me think of the bowing inviting to play pose that dogs take when they want to show they are wanting to play and not harm.

Our eldest dog used to do that to our cat. He would get down on his forelegs and rock back and forth wagging his tail. But being the snob she was, she wasn't having it and  simply glared at him. I could just imagine her thoughts.

@MamaWick

So who won the "stare down"?

Seriously, we know you wouldn't put Willow in harms' way.

I am proud of Willow facing the buck with courage and perhaps a bit of friendliness!!!!  The buck hopefully senses a friend in Willow.  It does happen as many different animals intermingle without fear.

There might be a lesson to be learned here!!!!!!
