Who said anything about me wasting water?

I flush Kleenex's/tissues down the toilet when I pee, just like I flushed my tampons down the toilet, when I peed too.

OMG!!!

The horrors!!!

The horrors, I tell ya!!!{#emotions_dlg.scared}{#emotions_dlg.laugh}{#emotions_dlg.w00t}{#emotions_dlg.lol}

Was Yuban, then changed to Plaid Pants due to forum upgrade, and apparently, I'm back to being Yuban.

I asked on the other thread but no one seems to know: "Oil Pulling" is a fad now. Look at every thread about it or every article and they all say when you spit out the oil (coconut, sesame etc) do NOT spit into the sink, toilet etc because it WILL clog drains.

Now that's about one little spoonful of oil at a time vs the many pumps of WEN. But people say WEN won't clog drains? Which is right?

WEN isn't oil.

It has numerous oils and waxes in the ingredients and people have to use a lot of pumps each time. That's why I wondered.Smiley Happy

I don't think so. If it did, it would not be as popular as it is. Plus WEN isn't a grease, like bacon fat or lard. And even if a family of 6 uses it every day, they aren't using gallons of the stuff every week. I think this drain clogging is an old wives tale that gets regurgitated every now and then. And I don't use WEN, I'm just using my common sense.

I think a lot on WEN fanatics are brainwashed into thinking they need to you gallons of the stuff. I use the same amt. as regular shampoo and my hair comes out clean.

There are a LOT of over the top beliefs on the WEN posts!

Our plumber told us not to do this unless we wanted to put him on our payroll. Today's tissue are thicker and treated with softeners like aloe. They do cause clogs just as many name brand toil*et papers do. Thick and soft may be good for the bum and nose but not your toil*et and wallet.

Some people never learn.

Re: So . . . does it clog drains or not?

It took about a month but everytime I tried to use the Wen again the bathroom drain would stop up.. I wanted to be sure so tried this 3 different times. Never had a problem with any other shampoo or conditioner.and this drain had never stopped up at all in the 20 years I have been living in my home.

I have long hair, have been using WEN exclusively for nearly three years, cleanse my hair several times a week, have a daughter who was also using WEN when she lived here, cleansing several times a week, have a son who has been using WEN daily, and we haven't had a single clogging issue.

Losing your hair is more important then clogging up a drain. I can't believe this product is still on the market. I've never used it, but there's too many threads saying you lose your hair. Why on earth would anybody even take a chance on that?

clearly, not everyone loses their hair.

Some people may have an allergic reaction as with any other product. Google Pantene and you will find reports of people losing their hair.

It's OK that you don't want to try it, but please don't buy into the hysteria. Millions of people use this product with no problems at all.
