Me? I'm just hangin' out, having a glass of champagne, DH is at work.

They evacuated Tybee Island, which is the island next to me, because it's high tide and with the hurricane coming through with rain and winds and high tide it will cover the road leading to it, leaving the islanders stuck in place.

The hurricane should slow down as it crosses FL, that's what we're hearing, so my thoughts and prayers are with the people of FL.

We've never left during a hurricane, even in a mandatory evacuation. We're both well trained in 'survival tactics', so we wouldn't put any rescue personnel at risk by asking for help.

Other than that, it's rainy, some thunder, so KIngston is terrified, big baby!

And I'm in a Patrick Swayze mood, so I just watched 'Roadhouse[' and I'm on to 'Dirty Dancing'.

Gotta love Patrick Swayze, not to mention Sam Shepherd was in 'Roadhouse', WHAT A HUNK!!

Dying in a pool of sweat in PHX. My a/c thermostat fell off the wall yesterday, and I'm waiting for the tech....(who is a "few hours" behind his schedule)

Oh, I feel your pain! The humidty here is off the charts, even for SE coastal GA!

I haven't been out of the house in days, it's too dammmmmm HOT & HUMID!

Try to hang in there girl!

Oh, my gosh, I hate to admit how many times I've watched "Roadhouse," @KingstonMom! 🤣 (blushing🙃)

Tonight I'll be trying to snooze, to calm a rascal of a headache, which I think was triggered by some wacky barometric pressure shenanigans in the midst of storms passing through here.

I've been watching the progression of Hurricane Idalia and the forecasts and warnings.

Take care and be safe. I had one tropical storm pass over my home near San Antonio. The drop in pressure made me ache from head to toe. I don't know how you tolerate a hurricane.

@KingstonMom Well, stay safe! Here in SE PA we are anxiously awaiting some much needed rain tonight. Certainly not a guarantee, given our track record this year. But we sure could use it, including the later season sweet corn.
