Re: So Is Christmas in July finally OVER?

That has always been the reason I watched QVC instead of HSN. HSN did several hours of the same stuff. I get bored with that in a hurry. One hour of some things is more than I can take. Several hours in a row, or every other hour of something like they did with the WII a couple years has me changing channels. QVC did one hour of one type of product and then went on to something else. I stuck with them. Now, I hardly watch because we get hours of one name of product. How many hours of expensive purses can you watch? And full days of cosmetics, fashion, accessories etc. have me off to another channel for the day. And enough with the very expensive TSV's. I won't spend $500.00 for a radio or $400.00 for a blender even if you nag at me several hours a day. It's not going to happen. My days of watching QVC for the entire day has been over since you started with the all day, or every couple of hours of the same thing. You used to have new and interesting products. The 50 and 50 tours were good. Now it's beat a product to death. I'm rarely watching anymore.

Thank goodness.  When I see these shows, all I can think is that Q is helping Chinese employment in a big way.

Actually, consumers are.

People are buying the stuff.  If they didn't buy, QVC wouldn't sell it.

Re: So Is Christmas in July finally OVER?

Easy to avoid if you don't like it...ignore!

We are just having our first week of real summer here in the PNW (well, we had a few warm days a couple of weeks ago, and then it got chilly and cloudy again.)

So there is no way that I personally can be thinking of December and the holidays.

I usually don't start watching the Christmas programming until October.

I just heard some people in their backyard singing Jingle Bells.

They sound like they had a few too many "dranks".Smiley LOL

They'll be trying to shove Christmas trinkets down our throats until Jan. 1, 2018.  Not to mention, they will suggest every item would make an excellent Christmas gift for the mailman, dry cleaner, teacher, ect.

Once they start with their Christmas junk, there will be no stopping them until about December 20th.  It will just get increasingly intense.

Why I'm not watching at the present. Could care less. Gives me time to organize my money elsewhere.

Re: So Is Christmas in July finally OVER?

I don't watch, because when it's 90 degrees outside, the last thing I want to do is think of Christmas. That goes for anything "wintery." I didn't like watching Pam McCoy hawk fake fur coats. on shopnbc either.

FYI: Netflix is even offering Christmas movies! Unless they are there all the time and I didn't notice, but I did think it a tad weird to see The Nightmare Before Christmas and How the Grinch stole Christmas in July. This was yesterday.

I noticed regular programing this morning.... I never turned on the channel yesterday. Is IT over?

Nope, Valerie will be back many times beginning next week, and there is a weekend event July 14-16. Smiley Happy  It won't be over until end of October, I believe.

No, it won't be over until Christmas is over.  They start earlier and earlier every year.  Pretty soon it will every day of the year...
