@monicakm    Well if enduring it is being indoors than so be it...I just hate being inside so that's a lot of it.  It's hard for me to stay in my office at work, so I try and schedule home visits as much as I can.

Last night, we were out until about 11 on the screen porch. Hubs built a pit fire and we sat around with a few Modelo's.  Good sweat going 🥵

You sound like my kind of people......if we lived closer, I'd grab our cooler and snuggle in next to your fire with you!

Glad I completed my housework before this heat wave.  Walking around the house wearing a sports bra and baggy shorts.  Hope nobody comes to the door!

This says it all for me - been out in it since I got home from work at noon.  Froze to death in my office - had my little heater on 🦎

I'm with you, friend......I keep stepping outside to defrost.  Enjoy!  It is a WAY TOO short season.  Woman Wink

SHORT!? Holy heck. Not in the mid-Atlantic, even when summer is actually 'normal', which these hellacious temperature are not, it typically lasts from the middle of May well into what should be fall. I relished summer when I was younger, but as far as I'm concerned, a month of it is too long and and I'd rather have fall early and lengthy!

I live in a condo (more's the pity) and we have a pool but when it's this hot, I don't even want to be at the pool. As far as I'm concerned it need never get warmer than the upper 70's to the very low 80's. My preferred range is from the mid 40's to the mid 70's.

My central air isn't working, it's 91 in my house, I have 2 Dreo fans running but it's just miserable...ugh.

That is dangerous @kitcat51  Are you able to go and spend time at a location where there is AC?  Perhaps the library or a shopping center.

If not, sit in your tub or shower with slightly cool water.

Although I don't care for the extreme hot and humid weather, I much prefer it over the depressing cold, snow and ice of winter.

I can relate to your post as I'm cold natured.  I have a small space heater at work since I get cold with the A/C in the summer and freeze in the winter.  When I left yesterday, the warm humid air felt so good...for a little while anyway.

Different strokes i guess- i dislike summer for many reasons, the heat is one of them. However, we do have a pool and i was enjoying that, but now the water is too warm! So its either the pool or AC indoors for me.  Luckily we live up north so the weather is constantly changing.
