@Sooner I have only encountered two snakes in my lifetime and one was dead. I was about 8 years old and while visiting my cousin in New Hampshire, I walked by a Black Racer that was at least six feet long. It was by the side of the road and appeared to have been hit by a car.
The other time, I was mountain climbing in New Hampshire, back in the 70's with my husband and a group of friends. When we got to the top of the mountain, there sunning
itself on a large rock was a Timber Rattler. It quickly slithered away. I think that it was more afraid of us.

@SportyShorty07 I hope that you and your family had a lovely Easter. I bet that you made a scrumptious dessert.
We had a quiet Easter, no company and no special dinner. I did all that for many years, but now my family of five children has grown to 27 people. Too many to have here, unless we can do things outside in the warm weather.
My children have grand children so everyone does their own thing, some with their inlaws.
My husband and I went out for dinner the night before Easter
and that is okay. I haven't been making desserts lately, now that he is diabetic and I don't need all those calories and sugar. I only make something if my kids are visiting.
I looked at the Banter website and saw the snake pendant. It is lovely and will be perfect on your Singapore chain.

@Enufstuff Thank you for your Happy Easter wishes, Enuffstuff! We had a laid back Easter too- we got sandwiches for dinner from our favorite local sandwich shop. I made a delicious deep dish pumpkin pie from scratch earlier in the week, so that was our dessert 🙂. We've had more elaborate Easter dinners that we cooked in the past, but this was a very busy week, so we just took it easy this Easter. I'm glad that you and your husband got to go out to dinner together the night before Easter 🤗.
I'm glad that your children and grandchildren all had great Easters too. I don't cook as many desserts as I used to either. I love baking desserts, but now I'll freeze half of the finished batch of cookies or cake slices so that we can have dessert year round whenever we feel like it. I baked, individually wrapped slices and froze 2 different homemade bundt cakes: strawberry lemon bundt cake and a blueberry lemon sour cream bundt cake.
Thank you very much for your compliments on the snake pendant that I would like to purchase! I'm definitely going to get it now that it is Enuffstuff approved! 😊

@SportyShorty07 That is a good idea, to freeze some
desserts, to enjoy later.
Your desserts sound yummy. I love bundt cakes. My oldest son's favorite is the chocolate cake with macaroon filling and vanilla icing. I made many of those for his birthdays. I still have my old Pillsbury Bundt Cake cookbook.
When my children were growing up, I was feeding a family of seven. We had a small dessert every night, even if it was just
a dish of ice cream, pudding, jello or fruit. That was what was done, growing up in the 50's, 60's and 70's and everyone was thin.
We weren't eating fast foods back then and we didn't eat large amounts of food at meals, like today. Many restaurants serve meals so large, you can take half of it home for another meal.
I did bake at least once a week, cookies, muffins, pies or cakes. With seven people eating it, no one got sugar overload.
Once the kids grew up and moved out, I stopped weekly baking. I would be eating most of those goodies. Now that my husband is diabetic, I only bake something if the kids are coming over.
I'm excited for you to get your snake pendant. I hope that you love it.

@Enufstuff wrote:@SportyShorty07 The two LeVian rings I purchased back in the early 90's at Filene's which was a lovely department store near where I live. Filene's also had a store in Boston.
They are a size five and fit my ring finger when I got them, before arthritis enlarged my knuckles. I've had my wedding ring sized up twice.
Filene's had the best of everything. My youngest daughter got her wedding gown at the Boston store. Filene's and Lord & Taylor were my favorite stores, both gone now.
I don't really remember where I bought the plain gold ring. I've bought so many rings over the years, many from QVC and local jewelers. I've given many away to my girls and still have a ring box full, probably about fifty rings left. Maybe I'll give them each another ring for this Mother's Day.
Sometimes I'll take several rings from the box and let them each choose the one they want. There are four girls, my three daughters and daughter in law. I've given a few to my two grand daughters and three great grand daughters.
@Enufstuff And I absolutely loved Filene's Basement. I worked just down the street and would walk up every day on my lunch hour! Good old days!

@Enufstuff Thank you, Enuffstuff! I bet your homemade and baked desserts are absolutely delicious 🤗- and that is so sweet that you and your family made sure to have a little dessert every night for dinner. I'm going to try to find your Pillsbury bundt cak cookbook on ebay- I love bundt cakes and I love classic original cookbooks. I have a big collection of cookbooks from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Your son's favorite bundt cake sounds so good!! I love bundt cakes- I'm so glad that I bought myself my first bundt cake pan for Christmas last year. If you ever are looking around for a great bundt cake pan spray, I love "Baker's Joy"- it is a spray that contains flour and oil. I prep my bundt cake pan with it before I add the batter, and the finished baked bundt cake slips right out onto the cooling rack without sticking to the sides of the bundt cake pan.
Have you ever baked the famous Pillsbury Tunnel of Fudge bundt cake? Its a classic recipe that is a chocolate bundt cake that is filled with baked chocolate fudge and walnuts and taopped with a chooclate glaze. The recipe is available online, and I want to bake it next month. You're right about some large restaurant portions- I take a to go box and eat half of it another day. I make all of my meals at home, but I like to eat out one day a month as a little treat for myself- and a way to get new ideas of what I will cook at home. I'll let you know when I purchase the snake pendant- it sold out, but I'm sure there will be a restock soon! 🤗 Happy Spring to you and your family!

@SportyShorty07 The tunnel of fudge bundt cake is so good and a chocolate lover's dream. You will love it. Back in the 60's-70's I made that cake and the chocolate cake with macaroon filling, when Pillsbury sold bundt cake mixes. Those mixes were discontinued so I use the recipe in the book to make my son's favorite cake. I also use their recipe to make a fresh lemon bundt cake with lemon icing. That is one of my favorite cakes and I liked making for Easter dinners.
For the chocolate macaroon filled cake, I just use a chocolate cake mix, then make the filling and icing
from the recipe. Pillsbury also discontinued their chiffon cake mixes that I loved from the 60's-70's.
They were the lightest, moistest cakes. It was made in a tube pan like an angel cake. The orange flavor was my favorite.
I looked up a recipe for a chiffon cake and it had 12 egg whites. I did'nt make that cake. I sure miss those cake mixes.
Ebay has couple of the Pillsbury Best Bundt Cakes recipe books available. It is not a large hard cover bound book, just a small paper backed book. Etsy has a couple also, but they cost more. Maybe they are unused and in like new condition.
For cakes and breads, I use Pam for Baking and it has flour.
That works well for me and it is probably similar to Baker's Joy.
I'm sorry that the snake pendant was sold out. Hopefully, it
will become available again. Try calling or emailing the company to see if they will bring it back.
Even though it was only 38 degrees this morning, it is starting to look like spring. My husband has been cleaning the yard from all the leftover leaves, pinecones and broken tree branches, so it looks good. Things are getting green and sprouting up. Forsythia and P*ssy Willows are in bloom and I filled a planter with purple and white pansies. I love the dark purple ones that look like velvet. I mixed in a light purple and some that are white with dark purple centers.
The Forsythia wreath is on the door, so we are getting there.

@Enufstuff I bet I would love the Tunnel of Fudge Bundt Cake, the chocolate macaroon bundt cake, lemon bundt cake, Chiffin bundt cake and the orange bundt cake! Your bundt cakes and desserts mustve been crown pleasers with such delicious ingredients 🤗! I made a cranberry orange bundt cake last year with fresh cranberries, orange zest and juiced oranges. I love chocolate bundt cakes- I made a chocolate bttermilk bundt cake a while back. I think I'll make a lemon poppyseed bundt cake one of these days. Maybe a sour cream key lime coconut one too. Its a shame that Pillsbury discontinued their bundt cake mixes- I bet they were delicious. Pam for Baking sounds good too! Thank you for the tip about the ebay availability of the Pillsbury Bundt Cake booklet- I looked it up, and I love the cheerful bright yellow cover complete with beautiful bundt cakes photos.
I'm so glad that things are beginning to look like Spring to you! Plants are sprouting and your husband is working his magic in the garden and yard. The forsythia and P*ssy Willows are a gorgeous combo. 🤗 Gorgeous color combo of the purple and white pansies- I also love the velvety texture and contrasting centers of pansies. Great tip about contacting customer service to find out if they will restock the pendat- I will definitely do that. I put my email on their waitlist for the item, so hopefully they will notify me when it is in stock again.
