I wonder if those who quit without addictive issues ever really inhaled? Or perhaps some brands of cigarettes are more addictive than others? Either way, I am happy that you were able to quit so easily but, as you know, we are all different and you shouldn't make others feel inferior because they have a harder time. Every smoker I know has tried to quit, most using every method available from Chantix to hypnosis, to piercings and acupuncture to cold turkey. I will repeat-- EVERY smoker I know has tried to quit. Some were successful, but most were not. The most recent method to inhibit smoking, vaping, was the most successful with the people I know to help them to quit-- but now that isn't even acceptable.

I hate Vapers even worse. Many don't consider it the same as smoking and actually consider it to be "healthy". Also unlike a cigarette that you have to go through the process of lighting and most people won't light one for one or two hits - e-cigs can be used more easily on the fly. I can't tell you how many times I have been in places or at sporting events where vaping is banned like smoking and vapers pull out their device and take a couple of hits sending a huge plume of that vapor my way. A lot of those liquids are made in China and no one really knows what is in them or what effect they will have on the user in 20 years.

There's a show called 'Live PD' where a film crew rides patrol
in different cities...one of them in Phoenix.
A trooper pulled over a car to citation littering (cigarette).
When they cut back to the studio, the 2 officers on the panel said...
even though it seems minor to charge someone with littering,
in this case w/ the high heat & dry Arizona conditions,
that one cigarette butt could cause so much damage...
and even kill someone if fires burned out of control.

Many here aren't saying the habit or act is disgusting, but the people are. How sad that some people expect others to tolerate their 'rights' choices, decisions, but can't offer that back to others.
Typical.
Funny everyone thinks making marijiana legal is ok though so I guess smoking pot is certainly socially acceptable-
People who use marijuana, including medical marijuana, couldn't actually care less whether anyone does or doesn't find them socially acceptable. They could be your doctor, your attorney, or the sweet lady who runs your local bakery. Or one day, perhaps a family member in horrible pain from cancer or with MS.
"Smoking pot" and the visuals that go with it is such an outdated way to look at cannabis use.
@MoonchildeI don't know-I'm kind of partial to the Cheech and Chong look myself.
@Cakers3, funny you should mention that - about a week ago Up In Smoke was on TV and we all watched. I lived through that time, and that place, too. Used to have their first album. Loaned it to someone and never got it back :-(

Have they proved that second- hand vape kills? A fart can be flammable. Most things flammable are considered dangerous to health. How do some people function everyday worried about every thing that crosses their path?

Some of them die as a result of second hand smoke. Others, especially children, come down with asthma which can be life threatening.
You didn't limit your comment to vaping that I saw, but recent studies show vaping is dangerous in its own right.
As for flammability with bodily gas, that takes a certain dexterity and dropping one's drawers which I have never seen happen in public.
Bottom line, yes, numerous studies have shown that second hand smoke can and does kill.
