Hi everyone! I have graduated (somewhat) from a flip phone to a new Android smartphone (yea!!). I've ordered it, and it arrives next week.
What are some of your favorite apps you have downloaded? There are a ton of them that I've heard about, so I want to get my "ducks in a row", so to speak. Thanx for all your suggestions.

What i am intertested in may not interest you. However, I wanted to mention a new app I just got called blue light. It is for protection. You simply keep it on the first page when you open the phone and if you are being followed , say at night, and your afraid you push the app and aim the phone at the person following you. It will take his photo and then it tells him he is being watched by the police who already have a picture of him and if he has a driver's license they know his ID.It's designed to scare a potential mugger etc off but if it doesn't at least the police would have his ID to apprehend him, and if your GPS is turned on - your location. Anything to help us be safer.

I use my cell phone so rarely that recently, when looking for it, I couldn't remember what color it was. It's a smart phone but has no apps...they're on my pads. Never use any features except to make a couple of calls a year.

It depends on which phone you have purchased. If your ordered a Tracfone, you will consider different apps than with a Samsung S7. It depends on the available storage and the amount of memory(RAM).
I found many free or low cost apps a few years ago when I retired my flip phone. It just depends on your hardware. Google Drive, Chrome, a security suite like "Norton", and "SwiftKey" an app that replaces the normal Google keyboard.
You can go to the Google Play Store and open an account, and look over what is available. There are thousands of apps and reviews.
