@nana59 Same thing happened to me 2 years ago almost to the day.  We purchased a Hyundai Elantra and love it.

HOW SMALL?

 

If I didn't have other people to pack around, I'd get the Honda Fit.

 

A BFF of mine loves her Subaru.  That car just keeps going and going.

Went to the dealership today after dropping off my car which the repair guy is telling the insurance to total.  

 

Drove the Yaris and liked it but it was a little over $20,000 all included.  I couldn't bring myself to do it.  It's just too much.  

 

The rental car they gave me is so big and futuristic, I am scared to drive it.  We had a freak snow storm and all the rental cars are out. 

 

So I am currently walking two miles to get to work and back in winter and I have no idea what I am going to do.  Even the used cars are huge.

 

Thank you all for your suggestions though.  I really appreciated every single one.
