It have just learned that many OTC sleep aids contain anticholinergics that are being studied for possibly causing alzheimers. Also antihistamines. My dad passed away from this horrible disease so I am always alert for information on this topic. My old doctor had told me that Tylenol PM was okay to take as it was non habit forming but now I feel I need to find some other means to get through the night. I can fall asleep sometimes but it never lasts and without sleep aids I toss and turn all night. Can anyone help me with alternative sleep aids? Thanks...
