Oh nooooo, not me!

Twitter users have branded a luxury swimming pool 115ft above the ground a 'nightmare' and described how dizzying aerial photos of it has made them feel sick.

The 25m transparent pool sits on the 10th floor between two blocks of flats in Nine Elms, Vauxhall in south-west London, just down the road from the US Embassy.

Boasting astonishing views of the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament, the pool above the Embassy Gardens flats has been hailed as the most exclusive venue to take a dip in Britain.

The world's first floating sky pool was snapped by aerial photographer Jason Hawkes show people lounging on the deck chairs alongside the pool

It is the first of its kind in the world and the 25m-long, 5m-wide and 3m-deep infinity pool is entirely transparent

Re: 'Sky' Pool Anyone???

I lived in a 15 story apt building in MD and the pool was on the roof.

What am I missing?  That you can see out the sides when you are under water?

No way would I trust a pool between two buildings with no support under it.

@VaBelle35

It's suspended 115 ft. above ground, only held by being attached to 2 adjacent buildings.

Exactly, your roof top pool had a roof and a building supporting it, this doesn't.

I think it's absolutely beautiful and a cool concept but I don't think I'd find myself swimming in it.

@VaBelle35  I currently live in a highrise w/a pool on the roof.

What am I missing too?  Maybe roof pools are rare in the UK?  Very common in the tri-states.

@Mz iMac

As I mentioned above, a roof top pool is supported by the building and it's roof, this is not.

The Sky pool has NO support underneath the pool, it's only secured to the 2 adjacent buildings.

It's also completely clear on all sides, offering great views of the city according to their hype.

Being uncomfortable with heights I doubt I'd swim in it, but looking at the aerial picture it's engineered so the weight is distributed on each side by portions of it actually "on" the roofs of the two buildings.  So it's not just "suspended" between two buildings, the middle portion weight is balanced by the two sides that are on the roofs.

This pool is not ON the roof, it's between two buildings.

@VaBelle35 you can see out of the sides & bottom.
