Watching Ali C right now in the fashion clearance show. It's difficult for me to understand sizing of a few things in her show that she either has on or tried on. Case in point, Lori Felt jeans with patches. AC said she'd be a size 2 or 4 in LF jeans. How this can possibly be is beyond my comprehension. AC is short (5'4") as I am but I am much smaller in stature, my size 2 or 4 days are over, there is no way she can wear jeans that small. Her legs are much thicker than mine are. Who is she kidding??!!
And what about that Nuage quilted coat - AC said she had on a XXS????? Well maybe but she didn't zip it up so we could see what that looked like on her. XXS???????? Come on! If I wanted to buy that coat I'd be looking at small MAYBE, perhaps even a medium.
No, I dispute her sizing. My point is this - many of us look to the hosts and models to sort of judge what we might look like in an item based on someone who resembles us in size and stature. How can we do this if they stuff themselves in sizes that clearly are too small? All I'm saying is, own your size whatever it might be. No one really cares but at least be truthful about it and wear clothing that is your real size and look good it it.

When it comes to clothes sizes, I think you can really fit into a wide range of sizes. Now, your choice may not look right to everyone, or be that comfortable on, but you can squeeze into them, or swim in them, just your choice.
I know for myself, being around 5'4 and 130 lbs, I can range from extra small in qvc land, and small in most stores, all the way to large, if I want something loose and comfortable. A lot all depends on how a garment is cut, as well.
So, I guess you can believe what the hosts say, I doubt they are blatantly lying, or they would be held accountable in some way.
I do think that many times, most times, they look like they are poured into whatever they are wearing. Most usually the pants are skin tight, and pulling across their legs. Tops often look like they can't be closed or buttoned up. I don't know if this is the preferred look these days, or what. I don't care for it.

@PINKdogWOOD I agree. She stuffs herself into clothes. I am half of her size all over except her chest area. I am a bonafide sz 2 in B&M stores - sometimes a 4 because there isn't a lot of consistency in sizing any more - but AC definitely needs a reality check. Also, it is very unattractive

I never go by the host's or model's sizes. They mean nothing to me. I always go by the garment measurement chart. Normally I'm a large, but there's a long cardigan I'm considering and my measurements line up with their small, which makes no sense. 🤷♀️

I don't order a lot of clothes online but always go by the size chart. If I am in doubt of how an item will fit me, I do not order. What size anyone else wears is none of my business and no value in getting the fit I want. Everybody is different.

I don't think it is possible to tell what size a host is by looking at them on a television screen.

I wouldn't assume anything .... unless you know the hosts specific measurements, don't think they are "just like you".

Ali does wear her clothes fitted so she probably is wearing the size she said. I wear my clothes fitted also, I don't like my jeans to have that loose look. If I were to buy QVC pants, which I have a couple of LOGO boyfriend jeans, I go down one size. I'm a size 12 on bottom in B&M and buy a 10 in jeans from the Q.

I don't think I've ever seen a host wear a blazer they could actually button if they wanted to.

I hate it when they show a jacket, sweater or coat and it obviously cannot be closed. Why bother?
I also always look at the garment measurements online. But if the hosts and models are useless in showing the items, I may as well shop from a catalog. Showing it on live models is about the only plus for TV shopping, IMO, and they are not making use of this advantage.
