I do believe the Beach Boys station is just for the summer.  I enjoy the 50's, 60's amd 70's stations.

I would really like to find 1040's big band music.  Love the music of the 40's.

@Imaoldhippie

yes, i am pretty sure the beach boys station is a temporary one.

big band music used to be 40s on 4.....not sure why they removed it.  try 40s junction on channel 73. you may also like standards by sinatra and more on channel 71.

@Imaoldhippie - My friend has Seriously Sinatra set on her radio - I'll ask her if she has a Big Band station as well.

Re: Sirius XM radio - new station

It's a pop up station, but I have been enjoying the Beach boys a lot.  My favorite is Road Trip Radio.  It's a temporary station that shows up around long weekends.  You can stream it all the time from your computer, but my radio doesn't have that set of station numbers.  I listen to a local station until I get to work so I can hear the traffic report and then switch for the rest of the say to Sirius.

Re: Sirius XM radio - new station

Channel 4 is one of those stations that quite often changes the style of music.  Right now it is the Beach Boys, but it has showcased many other artists.  I know that Pitbull was on there for almost a year (maybe more), but I think that it is unusual for any artist to be highlighted for that long.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

I listen to Coffeehouse, Watercolors, Love and The Blend mostly. 80s on 8 is my favorite decade.

If anyone can tell me what number the Beach Boys channel is, I would appreciate knowing it.

I love 70's on 7 and then I generally listen to the country stations that are Channels 56, 57 and 61.  I have other channels set but don't listen to them as much.

Re: Sirius XM radio - new station

I love the talk channels. 102 Radio Andy (a channel of Andy Cohen procured shows, he hosts some) also 109 Stars and I also listen to the news on CNN and NBC channels if I'm in the car at those times.

I love SiriusXM...I just resent hearing commercials when I pay for it. I guess its like cable and tv now...pay but still commercials.

I love it when you are traveling ling distance especialky...never have blind spots etc. Or when I have my niece whwpen she was 12...Disney channel was super appropriate with tween pop.
