Person of Interest started out interesting and turned into repetitive monotony after the first couple of seasons. We lost interest.

I think that's a good example

Then sure, I think it's in the realm of possibility.

I don't have any grandchildren to be concerned about, don't expect any at this point, and my brain is so taken up with other more immediate concerns in my own life and current problems all over this planet, that I hardly have room in it at the moment for the possibility of singularity, although it's a very interesting concept. At another time, it would be fun to research and learn about it, but my head is already getting ready to explode!

You do ask some rather "strange" questions sometimes. I think I'm a very intelligent person, but I don't even know what you mean by this or a few other things you've said or questioned. Where do these things come from?
I could have written your exact post, kitty - lol! And OP, I truly don't mean any offense to you - being a little different is a good thing in my book!
These kinds of posts do get one to "think", don't they?

IMO the singularity is what that show is all about. We're devoted fans. At this point in the story, there are two major machines that have reached the point of singularity and are dueling it out with each other.
Fans here too. I haven't watched this season's episodes yet so..... Yes, two machines are battling it out; each was programmed by different individuals though. They, the machines, seem to have gone beyond what they were originally programmed to do.
It's good this season, imo. They've found a better way of combing the ongoing saga of good v. evil computers and still get in the individual plots. Fusco and John are working together, I like what they've done with that.

I've always found it fascinating the way the machine contacts and ""speaks to"" Root. Is she out of her ever lovin' mind? How can she be when what she's told comes to pass? Or how the new identities were set up and the facial recognition of the group members was erased? Root did that on direction from the machine..... The machine ""knew"" and took action.
