Since when are serious studies of behavior taboo?

Heath & Human Services and the AFT are barred BY LAW from conducting studies into gun violence and/or publishing findings.

This rider to the appropriations bill has been in effect for over 10 years and was originally backed by the NRA.

Since when is knowledge a bad thing????
