Been to Biltmore only one time and had to board the dogs just to go in...that's one reason we didn't get the passes. DW has kennels and that's what swayed us.

blue, certain times of the year we come the back way, up 575, Murphy, Byrson City, Cherokee, through the Smokies and on to Knoxville. Beautiful drive. We're season ticket holders to Disneyworld & are headed that way next month ourselves. Have never been to Dollywoood but we've tossed the idea around.

I was completely amazed at the Biltmore House... all the Christmas lights at dusk- gorgeous!

Yep this time of the year and on, we don't go into Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg because of the crowds- that's too bad cause it wasn't like that before. We go to CountryChistmas in Kodak and depending on the time of the day decide whether to come the back way home... through the Smokies...

Bluegrassbaby, thanks for the information ... We're leaving at the end of October, so will miss most of those you mention. We'll stop in Pensacola for the Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival for a couple of days. My son was a participating artist there several times, but decided not to enter this year.

Disneyworld season passes...sounds great. Have you ever done Christmas down there? We did it once..DH said never again, the people were shoulder to shoulder. It was sooooo beautiful though. The castle was lit up like an ice castle..so charming. We stayed in the lodge dedicated for military only (Green something) and it was nice.

You'll have a wonderful time I know...be sure to send us pics.

We haven't done Christmas but New Years.... It's amazing how they can change from Halloween decorations to Christmas with a blink of the eye.... we always go down for Halloween & love Mickey's Boo to You party... we're going as Tennessee football players this year- got new Orange Jersey's.. You stayed at Shades of Green... we always stay at Fort Wilderness..
