Blue, the bridge is in Elizabethton, TN.. my hometown.. it's near Johnson City, Kingsport and Bristol. Love the bears!!

I used to go to the covered bridge in Elizabethton when we lived in Johnson City. We went there all the time, took a picnic and fed the ducks and geese. What a beautiful place that is.

Great thread, and the gorgeous images are exactly what we see in Virginia and East Tennessee every autumn. I'm always reminded the lovely many-colored quilts my grandmother and great-grandmother used to make when autumn paints the trees with beauty.

O/T, I want to add, although I don't know if it will get lost in the mix ...

My comments about photos and GIFs on the recent thread and on past threads always were about the ones that start showing up in the middle of an otherwise serious or interesting discussion, not the ones in threads devoted to pix and fun. And I never have singled out a poster -- I have a problem with the images disrupting a conversation, never a particular person. I hope I didn't offend anyone and if I did I offer my sincere apology. The written word can be so limiting and sometimes misleading.

I hate it when I think I've hurt someone's feelings.

Have never been to a race in Bristol butttttttttttttttttt in 2016 Tennessee Volunteers will be playing VA Tech there........ they'll be turning the infield into a football field.. we got our reservations for tickets made and can't wait!!!!!!!!!

Oh doo!!!!!! I grew up close to the bridge & absolutely Elizabethton!! I am so happy you got to enjoy some of what I grew up knowing... and look here young lady, you didn't offend or hurt my feelings about any pics or gifs on blue's thread- it's ok and I understood.. No big deal so enjoy this thread and post some purty pics or gifs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
