My take on Douglas - during the trials a few weeks ago and during the prelims a few nights ago, I felt Douglas looked sad, but not bored. She never smiled, there was no spontaneity, she didn't interact much with the others, etc. I was a bit concerned, truth be known. But last night, she came to life after she was done with her event. She was smiling, talking to the others, among the first to congratulate a teammate after a petformance. She was lovely. So now I'm guessing her reserve during the competition was not due to sadness (or boredom), but rather was perhaps anxiety, concentration, and focus.

Yes, such a fantastic team!!...I especially love the enthusiasm and flair of Laurie Hernandez...great floor routine also!...They all were great and it was wonderful to see them afterwards being able to just let go and enjoy their very-well deserved Gold Medals!

I think so too, amd I also think it is hard for Gabby or anyone(Missy Franklin) comes to mind-4 years ago they were on the top of the world and at the top of their sport, 4 years go by and boom someone else jumps in and knocks them off and they are like what the heck just happened? I think it is very hard for them, but I am glad to see both Gabby and Missy back at the Olympics.....

These girls are just fantastic! You have to marvel at all of them. And they truly have a team spirit. So proud of these girls. Go USA!

Simone is Amazing! I like them all, but that little short one is a whip!
Simone Biles was too young to qualify for the 2012 Olympics, but the 4-foot-9 gymnast has completely dominated her sport since her senior debut in 2013. Not only is she the first female gymnast since 1974 to win four consecutive all-around titles at the U.S. national championships, but she’s also the first woman ever to be the all-around world champion three years in a row. Not to mention that she's won fourteen total world championships medals—the most ever won by an American woman.

I find myself holding my breath during her routines and when she is finished, I have to pick my mouth up from the floor. LOL!
