As soon as it becomes wrong to talk about killing police officers and how bad they all are, then I will be concerned about what some dumb college kids sing.

As a matter of fact, some state senator has said very offensive things about the police, and he is still there.

Two wrongs don't make a right, but that is what concerns me more.

I care way more about an atmosphere that is dangerous for police officers to protect the rest of us.

I'm concerned about both. Singing about blacks hanging from trees and death to cops, or death to any group is wrong and should be condemned.

To say otherwise is saying it is okay to condone or advocate lynching or violence against certain groups.

I agree that any kind of chants or songs advocating racism, violence, prejudice are wrong. I also think that any police who use racist language doing their jobs, excess violence or force, or any kind of profiling or participate in domestic violence themselves should be drummed out of the profession.

I agree RCG and Lila.

The police are there to protect and to serve. They deserve respect for doing that job properly. If any one of them fails that directive in the ways mentioned above, they must not be allowed to continue as a police officer

BTW. I fail to see how fraternity racism has anything to do with police/public relationships. I suspect that random argument was thrown into this discussion simply to further the OP's own agenda.
