It is much like life ,too many just want to do damage to the rest of us.

O/T: Anyone here hear anything about an (allegedly) small-ish/smaller attack in England (possibly London), early this morning? One of my 'walking their elderly dogs' friends mentioned it to me, but when I looked earlier today, I couldn't find anything. ( I don't have cable tv, btw, and have been watching L&O SVU episodes back-to-back. ) Anyway, hopefully it's not true news.

I believe Reuters reported that it was a car accident.

UPDATE: The BBC just posted that it was a car accident, nothing intentional, etc., etc.. In front of a museum. People were slightly injured, etc. Wishing them well and prompt recoveries.

Hi @ROMARY
The police decided it was not terrorist, it was a car accident.

Hi, @Lindsays Grandma! I didn't see the thread you reference. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Moderating forums isn't an easy task, it's time-consuming and complicated, especially on a forum representing a business... think how many posts there are in all the threads in all the sub-forums. Also, we've learned over time that the QVC Social Team has many other responsibilities, too, moderating the QVC Facebook pages, offering customer support by answering questions and researching problems, passing along website tech glitches to the IT department, and probably more that we don't know about. And it seems they don't have many moderators to cover this 24/7 job. My experience is that asking them questions works better via email, in private, than with new threads. This is the address they post for us to use:
QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com
All deleted threads and posts are archived in an area of the website only the Moderators can access. In the past, I've seen them reconsider a decision and restore posts or threads removed in error, so it's always possible. Hope that helps in the future.

I don't really understand the angst, to be frankst. (groan) 😜 We know threads and posts here aren't guaranteed to remain for posterity, so why not relax, post what we want (trying to stay within the standards and guidelines) and then move forward to the next post or thread? Holding grudges about anything, whether it's past scuffles with people or it's threads/posts that were deleted/closed, isn't particularly healthy and in my experience isn't useful. Grudges are just wasteful weight we lug around on our shoulders and our souls.
Honestly, I think these endless complaint threads don't bode well for the future of the QVC forums and it's possible by continuing to second-guess and insult the moderators and the PTB who give them their marching orders... we might see the forums follow the trend on other sites:
forums are being closed, completely, and the companies that managed them are sending their posters to other social media sites like Facebook.
Certainly we have the option to complain and to air our grievances here, but I haven't seen any changes as a result of them and I do think instead of this imperfect Q Community we might end up with no Q Community to post on in the future.
@Completely agree @dooBdoo. These complaint threads and the resulting repetitive conversations from disgruntled posters are so frequent now, I sometimes feel like it's Groundhog Day when I come here. What would someone expect from constant complaining about posts being poofed and how these boards are moderated?
If policy here annoys someone to the extent that it seems to for some, then why continue to post here? Just to be aggravated and complain some more? I don't understand why some people don't just relax and get from these boards what they can.

I am actually surprised THIS thread is still active. Most discussions are not allowed anymore and are closed or deleted. So much arguing. Seems like the only thing allowed is posting photos or people looking for comfort from strangers. IMO, if the forums were shut down, it would not bother me one bit. I have too many issues to deal with on my own. Strangers on a shopping forum are not going to solve my problems.

Like it or not, that's a violation of standards. They're pretty clear - "Do not re-post deleted messages". Edited or not, it's a no-no.

^^^^^This!
I read a lot, but don't post that much because I just don't want to get involved in the drama. Like the rules or not, they're the rules and griping about them won't change them. I wouldn't blame the Q at all if they decided that this place was just too much of a pain to manage and shut it down. I'd like to see just exactly what percentage of their customers actually post here..my guess is that it's pretty darned small.
