My friend and I went to Moe's Origonal Pit Barbque a few weeks ago. We both ordered the barbque sandwich which came with 2 sides.

I was shocked when the sandwiches arrived. The buns weren't standard size, the "sides" were about 3 oz each.

If I go again, I'll order a plate!

@ Montana I agree. If it is an entre salad, it should be bigger. They usually cost around $9-10, I believe at Wendy's, Chick-Fil-A and Zaxby's. I am pretty well versed in fast food salads. DH spent 8 weeks in the hospital and those were my go-to-meals while out of town.

@ECBG. What do you think about getting your protein from argan oil you put on your skin? Josie is weaving this story that sound like a fairy tale. I don't know how Shawn and Josie keep straight faces.

Well I am sort of with the original poster. I dont eat fast food a lot, but darn when I get it I would like a healthy portion. No, I may not eat it all, but I will later. Not only that the prices warrent a little more food. They are making the buns smaller, cups smaller. A pound in the store is now 15. And some odd ounces. Not 16 ounces. Pound of cheese is not a pound. One week we went to a favorite restaurant, and we went back a couple weeks later. The boxes were smaller! Our market has the best ever pre-packaged salads. For years we had to fight to get them,as the favorites sold out as soon as they put them out. Now they are 2 dollars more and half the size. And they sit.

i am sure we know what a portion looks like. But I want the old portions back, as When I go out I want to take some home. And when I get take out, especially a salad... i want a SALAD. Not two pieces of lettuce a shaving of carrot, half a radish an 2 cherry tomatoes!!!

One thing my husband and I have learned. When we go in to have a samdwich made,or any take -out where they portion it right there. We do not go to the skinny teenage ladies. Lol. They act like making a sandwich. 1/2 thick is so much food no one could eat it. Lol. It may be discrimination, but hey...this is my lunch or dinner we are speaking of.

I agree with the shrinking restaurant food, I gave up on salads at the fast food establishments and I won’t go to Outback any more for one,.....I would be embarrassed to bring their portions to the table of customers at those prices.🤨

for instance, when we’ve gone to the ice creamery places, the young men are usually the ones that scoop up a decent sized portion as compared to some of the girls ! 🤣

Oh my goodness my friend @Kachina624 your post made me laugh out loud!

I have pretty much dropped fast food from my diet but a couple of times a year will splurge. I had my annual check up today and was thrilled to learn I hadn't gained any weight this past year (somehow my scale got lost in my move). On my way home driving through a lot of snow I was starving and made an impulse decision to pull into Burger King. What a disappointment! I ordered the small Jr. Whopper meal and I was shocked at the size of the burger/toppings. That was a lot of money for not a lot of food. That will never happen again and usually I love me some BK!
