Yesterday in one of the advice columns in the paper, someone told the story of an invitation to a shower in which the guests were requested not to put their names on the gifts, so that the bride could send a pre-written copy of a general thank you note to all who attended!
Of course, you don't know whether the letters in the paper are written by real people or kids with time on their hands, but how much do you want to bet some enterprising bride will pick up on the idea and try it during the upcoming wedding season.
I think I'd buy a "sale priced" gift, since I wouldn't have to be responsible for someone thinking I was being cheap!
What would you do?
