Re: Show on t.v. made me ask, What could/would you do if you had no fear?

I believe we all need to have a level of fear.  That's what keeps us in survival mode.  Yes, I have some fears - some big, some small - but I don't dwell on them.

My first thought is that I'd jump from a space capsule like that guy did a few years ago (he was a daredevil who was testing the spacesuit)

I'll never forget the image of him standing on the edge of the capsule looking out over the world and saying to the control people, "I'm going over!"

My humongous fear is heights. So it would be skydiving......I can do rollercoasters but not Ferris wheels .....last time I went on one was with my mom about twenty years ago....she kept rocking the bucket back and forth....I was ready to jump out!!!!!

@MickD, I have had a fear of heights from my first memory. I challenged it four years ago when I took up wall climbing and rock climbing. It helped to allay some of those fears. I know, I know, very few women in their 60s take this sport up as a hobby, but I did.

i am terrified, i mean terrified of height.  even looking out the window of a tall building makes me dizzy.  i'm not afraid of any critters or animals and i'm not afraid of flying except my dad had his pilots license and we went up in one of those little cessnas and that scared me and we had to come down.  big jets don't bother me though.

@dex, no, I'm usually the only "mature" person out there, and often the only female. The young guys sort of adopt me and look out for my safety. Last week, we were chatting, and I made a comment about being old, and a 24-year old said, "What? 49 isn't old!" Gotta love it!

Ha!  I have some "friends" who think there is a FEMA camp located right outside my old hometown of Willcox AZ.  OMG...

Re: Show on t.v. made me ask, What could/would you do if you had no fear?

For some reason as a child I was afraid of just about everything and sometime with good reason. As an adult I have very few fears, but realize there is a time and a place for caution.
