Show Me--Thoughts and Prayers Thanksgiving Week

My thoughts and prayers are with you this week, as well as with the other city gals. Be prepared and be mindful. I was naive back in 1967 and got caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. The police saved me. So my advice is to shelter in place.

I have decided to stay in tonight, even though I am in another state. The situation in 1967 was a rolling one, with one city after another.

SM is running her errands today. I'm sure she will answer you when she gets home. Praying for everyone involved, near and far, a safe one.

Fate whispers to her, "You cannot withstand the storm." She whispers back, "I am the storm."

Re: Show Me--Thoughts and Prayers Thanksgiving Week

Karen......once again, thanks so much for being so concerned. This means a lot to me and the other local gals.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but as Preds said, I had some errands to run.....And I knew I had to get it done today, because I'm not going out for the rest of the week or weekend. I moved as fast as I could, and it was crazy in the grocery store. There was a bus load of seniors in there doing their shopping, (that includes me), from the senior complex of apartments just down the road from the store. It is so cute to watch them shop using their 1/2 size grocery carts provided by the store.....and you don't get in their way because they aren't paying any attention of anyone on a riding cart that just won't stop when you want it to......

I have the TV on now and just can't believe all that I'm hearing and seeing. It will get worse before it gets better.

Once the decision is announced, it will be crazy. Folks have no idea how many highrise office buildings there are in Clayton that are filled with employees that want to get home and away from the mess. There are many law offices in these buildings.....very convenient for the County Court House, and close to interstate to take them downtown to the Court House down there. Some of these buildings have more than 20 floors in them, and take up a whole block......

Anyhow, thanks for your concern and starting another thread to me. You are something.....wish I could have the opportunity of meeting you and enjoy a cup of coffee with you.

SM and Gals--That's it. Enjoy some inside time the next few days. SM--I'd like a drink with you, but maybe a hot toddy for me. The winds are blowing here in Michigan tonight.

I could probably go for a hot toddy about now too. The winds are blowing here too. Have been all day. In fact it was howling at my LR windows earlier today.

St. Louis is a special place with good people. Thinking of family and friends residing in the St. Louis area, as well as the terrific ladies on the Q forum. Sending thoughts of peace, healing and understanding.

I am giving thanks this week that I don't live in that town, or the state for that matter.
