But, he got into an argument with the boy was angry and that's why he shot him. He should be charged with first degree murder. The story he's come up with about the boy reaching for what he thought was a gun is not believable. He's a liar just like his daughter.
Agree!.....boundaries were crossed by this boy and his daughter but it was not reason to shoot/kill the boy.

Not necessarily, the victim was in the man's home, without his knowledge or permission.

Dad called 911. At that point the daughter should have admitted the young man was her boyfriend. Dad and young man get into words, Dad still thinks he's an intruder, and the young man dies. A series of tragic events.
This will go to the Grand Jury - he doesn't automatically get off by using any castle doctrine defense.
What a terrible, terrible tragedy, and one that will affect both families forever.

I don't know what the law is in TX, but in NYS you can't use deadly force unless you think your life is in imminent danger. An undressed young man wouldn't have a weapon on his naked body!

I didn't read that the boy was naked..

He was in bed with the sister, making enough noise for the brother to come and investigate.
I don't think he put his clothes on before he jumped under the bed. He certainly didn't have his shoes on!

He was there as an invited guest of his daughter and that had to be clear to the father no matter what his daughter said about not knowing the boy. Does anyone believe the boy didn't tell the father that he was in fact the daughter's boyfriend, that she had let him into the house?

I'm sure he did!
And if he was "reaching" for anything...it was probably clothes!

Where is the info that the boy was naked??? Even the Houston news is not reporting that fact.
Just because he didn't have shoes on doesn't mean he wasn't clothed. Nor does it mean that he was unclothed while with the girl. After all, she would have been naked, too, or at least scantily clad.
Now we are seeing "facts" posted here with no backup. Since the Grand Jury will get this case, we'll know more about the "facts".

I'm assuming the kid was begging for his life. Usually the reaction of someone caught in a frightening situation with a gun being waved in one's direction.
