Shortage of Kindle Paperwhites

My birthday was just this past weekend, and my present is a Kindle Paperwhite, which won't be shipped for 5-7 weeks. This is for the $119 one. My husband and I had no idea it was going to be such a hardship to get one in hand. If anyone else is wanting one for Christmas or is purchasing one for someone else for Christmas, I suggest you jump on the bandwagon right now or you may be disappointed. Who knows what will happen once my order arrives (projected first week of December); if others will be fulfilled, etc.
